All enrolled 6th through 12th grade students in the Oak Mountain school district at a public or private institution, or who are homeschooled, are eligible for membership.
Our team is a member of the Alabama Cycling Association which provides competitive mountain bike racing around the state. We predominantly practice at Oak Mountain State Park along with a local gym for conditioning. Pre-season begins in October, with the full season spanning from January to May.
OM MTB is a volunteer-driven organization, powered by the passion and commitment of certified coaches, dedicated parents and guardians, visionary community leaders, and generous donors. Together, we create a nurturing environment where student athletes of all bicycling levels can grow, learn, and thrive. Our certified coaches bring expertise and enthusiasm, ensuring that every participant receives high-quality guidance and support.
Parents and guardians play a vital role, volunteering their time and energy to foster a sense of belonging and teamwork. Community leaders contribute their vision and resources to help us achieve our mission, while donors provide the essential financial support that sustains our programs and initiatives. This collective effort allows us to make a lasting impact, enriching the lives of those we serve and strengthening the bonds within our community.
